Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea boss, has criticized the current team for not being mature enough to compete effectively in the league

The Blues secured a 2-2 draw against Sheffield United, following a 4-3 victory over Manchester United in midweek.

In the 93rd minute, the Blues conceded their second equalizer at Bramall Lane.

Chelsea’s manager,  Pochettino, stated that his team’s inability to win consecutive league games in 2024 was not only due to weariness but also to competition-related concerns, citing draws against Burnley and Sheffield United as examples.

“At 52, you identify really quickly whether the team is ready to compete or not,” he told reporters after the game.

“Maybe this group is not mature enough to compete in games every three days.

“It’s a new team and we are still learning about their profiles. The process always takes time”.
