Joe Cole, a former Chelsea midfielder, has sparked the Premier League debate by praising Arsenal’s squad after their 3-0 victory over Bournemouth.
He believes there is no fault in the current Arsenal team, stating that Mikel Arteta’s team appears to be a champion.
The Gunners secured a convincing victory over the Cherries at the Emirates, showcasing a composed and clinical performance.
Bukayo Saka’s goal gave them the league lead, which they later doubled thanks to goals from Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard.
He particularly commended the contributions of standout players like Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, underscoring the depth and threat posed by Arteta’s squad.
“Fantastic performance. It should have been 3-0 or 4-0 from the first half; [they] took the pedal off the gas a touch in the second half but then showed their class with the finishing. Declan Rice, outstanding. Havertz was running the line, threats from everywhere, solid at the back. They look like champions,” he told TNT Sports.
“I think it’s going to be one of those seasons. Man City or Arsenal, whoever gets the trophy, there are two champions. I can’t see a fault in this Arsenal team–a real impeccable performance.”
