A federal high court sitting in Abuja has declined to vacate a warrant of arrest issued against Yahaya Bello, the immediate past governor of Kogi state.
The presiding judge, Emeka Nwite, criticised Bello for filing applications even with his refusal to appear in court.
Nwite described the actions of the Kogi erstwhile governor as an attempt to curtail the case preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC is seeking to arraign him on 19 counts bordering on alleged money laundering, breach of trust as well as misappropriation of funds to the tune of N80.2 billion.
