Nigerians Can Now Travel to UAE Following New Agreement

Nigeria’s Federal Government has signed an agreement with the UAE, enabling Nigerian passport holders to obtain visas for immediate travel to the UAE.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, during a briefing with State House correspondents following the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, presided over by President Bola Tinubu.

“Today an agreement has been reached with the UAE effective from today July 15, Nigerian passport holders intending to travel to UAE can do so,” said Minister Idris.

In a statement on his X handle, Idris further elaborated, “Following successful talks and extensive, mutually beneficial negotiations between the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, an agreement was reached allowing for the resumption of travel to the UAE for Nigerian passport holders.”

This agreement opens new doors for Nigerians, facilitating travel for business, tourism, and other purposes to one of the most vibrant and dynamic regions in the Middle East.

The move is expected to bolster bilateral relations and enhance economic and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
