Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly interested in joining Napoli this summer, but his move is contingent on the departure of Victor Osimhen.
The Belgian forward, who spent last season on loan at Roma, is eager to reunite with his former manager Antonio Conte announced that Lukaku’s transfer to Napoli is contingent on the club meeting Osimhen’s €130 million release clause.
This high valuation means the deal can only proceed if a significant offer is made for the Nigerian striker.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the situation on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Romelu Lukaku gives total priority to Napoli, waiting for them in case Victor Osimhen leaves the club.
“Lukaku wants to re-join Antonio Conte while Conte’s also very keen on signing Romelu. If Osimhen leaves, Napoli will be ready to advance in talks with Chelsea.”
Lukaku’s desire to work under Conte is evident, but the financial complexities surrounding Osimhen’s potential move pose significant obstacles.
