Former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Vice Chairman for the North-West, Dr. Salihu Lukman, has voiced serious concerns about the situation in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

Lukman lamented that Tinubu’s unaligned policies have pushed the nation towards a hopeless trajectory, exacerbating the living conditions of all Nigerians.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Lukman questioned the effectiveness of Tinubu’s plans to address the country’s myriad problems.

He pointed out that the government’s efforts to ameliorate the challenges faced by Nigerians have been inadequate, demonstrating a lack of capacity to manage crucial initiatives.

“For more than one year, it has been one explanation after the other,” Lukman said, “with hardly any clear blueprint or timeline for when the downward slide of the Nigerian economy will end. Every day, the hopelessness of the government gets more exposed.”

Lukman criticized the administration for its inability to present a coherent strategy to improve the nation’s economic situation.

“What plan has President Asiwaju Tinubu put in place to fix the problem?” he asked. “Even in terms of ameliorating the challenge facing Nigerians, the government has demonstrated a lack of capacity to manage initiatives, resulting in compounding the allegations of embezzlement surrounding initiatives to ameliorate worsening conditions of citizens.”
