Edo North Senator Adams Oshiomhole has firmly stated that there is no possibility of a regime or military takeover in Nigeria.

Speaking on Arise News Morning Show, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain emphasized the impossibility of a faceless group demanding regime change.

This statement comes in response to recent protests under the banner of EndBadGovernanceInNigeria, where some demonstrators called for the ousting of President Bola Tinubu’s administration due to the prevailing economic hardships in the country.

“There is no room for regime change or military takeover. It’s impossible for an amorphous group to demand regime change,”

Oshiomhole stated, commending President Tinubu’s patience in addressing the issues raised by the protesters.“I commend Tinubu’s patience and the way he addressed those issues.

He said I have listened and heard you, but I will like to see the commissioning of industries because this will tackle hunger.”

Reflecting on his own history of protests, Oshiomhole pointed out the differences between genuine activism and politically motivated demonstrations.

“At no time did I call for a regime change of government during my protest days, now I see politicians trying to hijack these protests,” he remarked.

Oshiomhole emphasized peaceful protests as a means to promote regime change and emphasize the need for constructive dialogue and industrial development over abrupt governance changes.
