The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has warned jobseekers to disregard rumours of employment slots for sale.
NNPC’s spokesperson, Femi Soneye through a statement issued on Saturday, said the hiring procedure is a straightforward process that does not include the sale of slots or inducement.
“The company states that there is no iota of truth in the insinuations that it has employment slots on offer to anyone who wishes to buy, describing such as antics of fraudsters who want to take advantage of unsuspecting applicants,” NNPC said.
“It cautions that as a responsible corporate entity, recruitment into the company is a straightforward process and does not involve the sale of slots or inducement of any kind.”
The national oil firm spokesperson also cautioned that any jobseeker paying money to anyone for a job inside NNPC is doing that at their own risk.
NNPC, On July 26, stated that qualified candidates can now apply for its graduate trainee programme.

The oil firm added that graduate trainees are expected to support the implementation of organisational processes, deliver cost-effective business outcomes, support line managers and supervisors to develop and execute strategic work plans across diverse functions and assist in the delivery of project team assignments.
