NFF Confirms Bruno Labbadia as New Super Eagles Head Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed the appointment of German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, as the new  Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s Senior Men National Team.

The decision was approved by the NFF Executive Committee following a recommendation from its Technical and Development Sub-Committee.

Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF General Secretary, made the announcement early Tuesday, stating that the appointment is effective immediately.

“The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

The appointment is with immediate effect,” he said.

Labbadia, who has a wealth of experience managing several clubs in the German Bundesliga, is expected to bring his tactical expertise to bear on the Super Eagles as they prepare for upcoming international competitions.

He will lead the team against Benin and Rwanda in 2025 AFCON qualifiers next month.

Nigeria welcome Benin to Uyo on September 7, before a trip to Rwanda three days later.

Further details on Labbadia’s contract terms and his technical staff are expected to be announced by the NFF in due course.
