Manchester United have officially secured the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a total package worth €60 million.

The deal, which includes an initial fee of €50 million and €10 million in potential add-ons, was confirmed by renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Ugarte, 22, has been a standout performer at PSG, attracting the attention of several top European clubs.

However, Manchester United emerged as his preferred destination, with both the player and the club showing mutual interest.

According to Romano, personal terms were agreed upon in July, marking Ugarte as United’s top midfield target for the summer transfer window.

The Uruguayan midfielder is expected to travel to Manchester today to undergo his medical examination.

Uruguayan player will join United a year after PSG paid Sporting Lisbon £51.1m for him.

Once completed, he will officially join the ranks at Old Trafford, bolstering Erik ten Hag’s squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
