Award-winning cinematographer and music producer, ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, has revealed that he is currently recovering from the aftermath of a failed kidney transplant.
The music video director, who is celebrated for his creative works in the entertainment industry, took to social media on Friday to share his health update with his fans and well-wishers.
Omori disclosed that he has been recuperating from the surgery and is committed to continuing his fight for recovery.
Despite the challenges, he expressed gratitude to God and his supporters, acknowledging the overwhelming love and prayers he has received during this difficult time.
“Up and grateful, O Lord. (Sadly, I can’t backflip.) Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes,” Omori wrote in a heartfelt post on his X account.
“I’m healing now from the stitches of the failed one, I’ll continue the fight. I’ve been on it for the past year or two, and I can’t back down now. Love you all so much. Can’t wait to create new, crowded music videos for you all.”
The music producer’s health ordeal began after his kidney failed over a year ago, leading to a series of medical procedures aimed at restoring his health.
His brother selflessly donated one of his kidneys in a bid to save Omori’s life, but the transplant, unfortunately, did not succeed.
On Wednesday, Omori revealed more details about his struggle, sharing a picture of himself in a hospital bed on Instagram.
He expressed his profound appreciation for his brother’s sacrifice, writing, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again. Keep my spirit alive. I don’t want to die.”
Omori further explained that he has undergone three surgeries and remains determined to overcome the setbacks he has faced.
