Prince Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State has condoled with Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum following the recent flood in Maiduguri.
The flood, which has caused widespread destruction, has led to a serious humanitarian crisis in the region.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Governor Abiodun expressed deep concern over the magnitude of the disaster.
He noted that the flood requires urgent intervention and support from all Nigerians to alleviate the suffering of those affected.
“While natural disasters of this nature are inevitable, the swift response by both the Borno State Government and the Federal Government is commendable. It is crucial that we all come together to support the victims and bring immediate relief to the affected communities,” Abiodun said.
He added, “I commiserate with my brother, Prof. Babagana Zulum, and the people of Borno State over the devastating flood in the state, which has resulted in a humanitarian crisis of high magnitude.
”The government and the people of Ogun State stand with the Borno people during this period of agony, and we shall continue to pray for them.” he added
