The English Football Association (FA) is set to unveil Thomas Tuchel, former head coach of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, as the new manager of the England national team later this week.
According to renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both parties have finalized an agreement, paving the way for Tuchel to take charge. This move will see him replace Lee Carsley, who has been serving as caretaker manager.
“BREAKING: Thomas Tuchel has completed the agreement to become the new England manager,” Romano tweeted on Tuesday.
“Terms agreed, contract set to be signed, with an official statement expected soon. Tuchel opened doors to the England job in July, and it’s now a done deal.”
Romano also noted that preparations for Tuchel’s official unveiling are already underway. “Contracts are being prepared, and Tuchel could be introduced as England’s head coach this week,” he added, as reported by Mail Sport.
