Gary Neville Urges Arsenal, Liverpool to Capitalize on Man City’s Struggles

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has urged Arsenal and Liverpool to seize the opportunity created by Manchester City’s faltering Premier League campaign.

Neville believes both clubs are in prime positions to capitalize on City’s current struggles and mount a serious title challenge this season.

Manchester City, who are aiming to become the first team in Premier League history to win five consecutive titles, suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The loss has further dented Pep Guardiola’s side’s hopes of reclaiming the top spot, leaving the title race wide open.

Liverpool, currently leading the pack, have the chance to extend their advantage to eight points if they secure a win at Southampton on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Arsenal moved to within a single point of City after a commanding 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest earlier this weekend.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville highlighted the urgency for Arsenal and Liverpool to step up:

“If you’re Arsenal or Liverpool — you must feel there’s no excuses now. I’m looking more at Arsenal with that statement. This was Arsenal’s season if it wasn’t going to be City’s.”
