Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has dismissed the widespread belief among some Nigerians that they are being spiritually held back by so-called “village people.”
In a social media post, Edochie criticized this mindset, urging people to stop attributing their life challenges to spiritual attacks or interference from others.
According to him, the concept of “village people” holding individuals down is unfounded and often serves as an excuse for inaction.
“Nobody in the village is holding you. Village people don’t even have the time to hold anyone down,” he stated.
The actor also emphasized the importance of seeking practical solutions to personal problems rather than relying solely on prayers or blaming external forces.
He suggested that traditional methods could sometimes offer effective answers.
“Go the traditional way if you must. It is not everything that the church and prayers will solve,” he added.
