The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communications, Daniel Bwala, has accused former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, of attempting to unseat the current administration despite being part of its formation.
Bwala made the allegation in response to El-Rufai’s recent criticism of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former governor had accused the ruling party of deviating from its founding principles and fostering poor leadership.
He also described the state of governance and opposition in Nigeria as a “national emergency.”
Reacting in a post on his X handle on Tuesday, Bwala questioned whether El-Rufai would have held the same stance if he were part of the government.
“My senior brother, if you were in the government and cabinet, would you have held and expressed the same position?” Bwala asked.
He further alleged that El-Rufai’s actions were aimed at undermining an administration he helped to establish.
“It is a government you participated in its formation, that you now want to unseat,” Bwala stated.
