Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has expressed optimism about the state’s trajectory in 2025, noting that significant developments have placed Ekiti at the forefront of good governance and accountability in Nigeria.

Speaking in Ado Ekiti on Friday during the January edition of the Evening of Praise and Worship, the governor emphasized that divine grace had been instrumental in the state’s transformation.

His remarks were contained in a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode.

“We should not relent in praying for ourselves and the state. Ekiti State is now a poster for good governance, accountability, and integrity,” Oyebanji stated.

Highlighting a recent development in the agricultural sector, the governor announced that the Federal Government had selected Ekiti as the pilot state for agriculture in the Southwest, further underscoring the state’s progress.

“The commissioner just informed me that the Federal Government has appointed Ekiti as a pilot state in the Southwest for agriculture. So, God has been so good to us, and we are starting this year on a positive and joyful note. And it can only get better,” he added.

Oyebanji credited the administration’s strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and economic empowerment to divine guidance, noting that these efforts had improved the quality of life for residents.

“These achievements have earned the state recognition as a beacon of good governance and accountability in the country, in addition to improving the living conditions of the citizens,” he said.
