Troops of the Nigerian Army’s Operation Fansan Yanma have neutralized four armed bandits and captured one suspect during a nighttime operation in Nasarawa village, Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to intelligence sources, the operation, which began late on February 10, 2025, and extended into the early hours of Monday morning, targeted a known hideout of bandits terrorizing the area.
Among those neutralized was a notorious individual suspected of long-term involvement in criminal activities.
Acting on credible intelligence, the troops launched a decisive assault, engaging the criminals in a fierce gun battle. Four bandits were killed, while another suspect was captured and taken into custody for further investigation.
