Gunmen Invade Plateau Community, Kidnap Man, Wife, and Daughter

Suspected bandits stormed the Dogon Ruwa community in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday, February 10, abducting a man, his wife, and their daughter.

According to Leadership, the attack occurred around 11 a.m. while residents were going about their daily activities. The assailants, armed with sophisticated weapons, reportedly fired sporadically to create panic before seizing their victims.

A youth leader in the area, Shapi’i Sambo, confirmed the incident, stating that security operatives and vigilante members had mobilized to the bush in an effort to rescue the abducted family.

“When the gunmen arrived, people were going about their normal activities. They started shooting sporadically to disperse residents. Many fled for safety, but unfortunately, a man, his wife, and their child were taken,” Sambo said.

He further disclosed that two individuals who sustained injuries during the attack had been taken to a hospital in Dogon Ruwa for treatment.
