The Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, has rescued a 75-year-old woman who was kidnapped and assaulted in Ifira Akoko, Akoko South-East Local Government Area of the state.
The victim, who recounted her ordeal, said she was returning from her farm when three men accosted her.
“I was on my way back from the farm when I saw three men approaching. Suddenly, they grabbed me and dragged me into the bush. One of them forcibly removed my clothes and violated me,” she narrated.
She added that she was in a state of confusion until Amotekun operatives arrived and rescued her after hearing her cries for help.
During the parade of suspects at the Amotekun headquarters in Akure, the state capital, the security outfit also presented individuals accused of abducting 18 passengers from a bus along the Akure–Owo highway a few weeks ago.
One of the victims described how she was also assaulted by a kidnapper.
“They forced us out of the bus. One of them grabbed me and dragged me into the bush. Despite my struggles, he tore off my clothes and assaulted me,” she said
