Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, are reportedly on the brink of divorce, just 11 days after her controversial appearance at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
According to sources close to the couple, they have already separated and reached a verbal agreement for Censori to receive a $5 million payout.
An official legal filing to end their marriage is expected soon.
While Censori remains at their $35 million home in Beverly Park North, Los Angeles, West’s whereabouts are unclear.
Some reports suggest he may return to Tokyo, Japan, where he spent much of the past year.
Speculation about tension between the two intensified following the Grammys on February 2, where West allegedly instructed Censori to remove her fur coat on the red carpet to create a viral moment.
Sources claim he viewed the stunt as “art” and an extension of the imagery from his upcoming album, Vultures 2.
A lip-reading analysis of their interaction suggested that West told Censori, “Start making a scene now” and instructed her on how to pose. Censori hesitantly responded, “All right, let’s go.”
This fueled growing concerns about West’s control over Censori, with some public figures describing her as a “hostage” in the relationship.
Following reports of their split, West took to social media to address allegations of coercion.
He cryptically posted, “Is the coercion,” followed by a screenshot of the word’s definition, seemingly in response to critics who accused him of exerting control over Censori’s actions.
