Renowned pop star Justin Bieber has strongly denied recent online speculation suggesting he is using hard drugs, emphasizing that he is simply enjoying life.
A representative for Bieber told TMZ that the ongoing rumors about the singer’s alleged substance use are entirely baseless.
Instead, they asserted that Bieber is in a positive space, concentrating on fatherhood, working on new music, and looking forward to celebrating his 31st birthday later this week.
“The past year has been very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him,” the rep stated, highlighting Bieber’s commitment to personal growth.
The singer’s current priorities, according to his representative, revolve around supporting his family, maintaining his well-being, and furthering his musical career.
The rep also criticized the persistent speculation about Bieber’s health, labeling it “exhausting and pitiful,” and accused detractors of pushing negative narratives despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Speculation about Bieber’s alleged drug use intensified after he was photographed in New York earlier this month with red eyes and dark circles.
However, sources close to him explained that he had been recording music late into the night and was simply sleep-deprived.
Additionally, he had been attending to his newborn son, who was experiencing difficulty sleeping.
A video from a Rhode pop-up event in Los Angeles last Thursday further fueled rumors, with some social media users claiming Bieber appeared intoxicated.
However, sources refuted the claims, stating that Bieber was merely engaging in a lighthearted moment with a fan while supporting his wife Hailey’s brand event.
Bieber has been open in the past about his struggles with substance use.
He previously admitted to experimenting with marijuana at a young age and later using stronger substances, revealing that his security team would sometimes check his pulse while he slept.
However, the singer has maintained sobriety since 2014, occasionally consuming alcohol socially but abstaining from prescription pills and other drugs.
