Gunmen Attack Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Family Residence in Kogi

Armed men reportedly attacked the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in the early hours of Tuesday in the Obeiba-Ihima area of Okehi Local Government Area, Kogi State.

The incident, which occurred around 1:00 a.m., involved at least three unknown assailants believed to be armed with cutlasses and firearms.

The attackers vandalized parts of the building, including shattering window panes.

The development was disclosed by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert, via a post on his X  handle on Thursday. Makama said the Chief Security Officer to the Senator, Yakubu Ovanja, reported the attack to local security agencies.

“Following a distress alert, a team of security operatives from Okehi Division swiftly mobilized to the scene,” Makama wrote.

“While no casualties were reported and no arrests have been made, the premises were documented and preliminary investigations have commenced.”
