President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that he has reconciled with the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, following appeals from the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC).

The meeting, held on Sunday and reported by ThisDay, brought together key GAC members who visited the president to seek forgiveness on behalf of Sanwo-Olu and others believed to have fallen out of favour with the president in recent times.

Chairman of the GAC, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, led the delegation and acknowledged that Tinubu had been displeased with some political figures in Lagos, particularly Governor Sanwo-Olu.

He openly appealed for a full reconciliation.

Responding to the plea, President Tinubu said, “It’s all over now. All is forgiven.”

He added that he harboured no further grievances against anyone in the room, including the governor.

In a symbolic gesture of humility and reconciliation, Sanwo-Olu and other GAC members reportedly prostrated before Tinubu, underscoring the weight of the moment.
